Vail Place is a nonprofit organization that provides community-based recovery services for adults with serious mental illnesses.
Established in Hopkins, Minnesota, Vail Place began serving the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area over 40 years ago. We provide multiple programs and services, maintain housing facilities and offer assertive outreach to our community across seven counties.
Vail Place can come to you or you can come to us if you are located within our service area. We provide help in these Minnesota counties:

HEALTH: Making informed, healthy choices that support physical, mental and emotional well-being.
HOME: Having a stable and safe place to live.
PURPOSE: Engaging in meaningful daily activities, such as a job or school, volunteering, caring for your family, or being creative. Working for independence, income and resources to participate in society.

Depending on your eligibility, Vail Place can help you address the daily challenges you may face in living with mental illness. Our services are community-based, yet focus on your individual needs.
The individuals we serve will engage in meaningful work, pursue educational opportunities and other training and realize a stable income.
Individuals are assisted with finding housing that meets their unique needs. Vail House offers short-term housing for adults with mental health and chemical dependency issues.
We provide access to services and resources that meet their needs, develop healthy social networks and support systems and experience reduced isolation.
Vail Place offers individuals access to healthcare, actionable programs to address key health issues, and opportunities to engage in activities that improve physical health, emotional well-being and overall mental health.
There is no better testament to the impact Vail Place has on people's lives than from those who experience it day by day.
