Welcome Michael Hofland, Donor Relations Coordinator

Vail Place is pleased to welcome Michael Hofland to the administrative team in the role of Donor Relations Coordinator. Michael comes to Vail Place with an impressive background that includes experience in donor relations and grant writing. He holds not one, but two Masters degrees, in Public and Nonprofit Administration, and American History.

In his new role at Vail Place Michael will be driving toward two primary objectives. First, he’ll be responsible for helping build and maintain donor relationships, and nurturing those relationships whether the individual or organization is donating time, money or a combination of both.  “Vail Place has so many opportunities to build on in terms of donor relationships,” Michael says. “Although I’m fairly new, I can already see great development opportunities,  including unique events like Dr. Vail Hour.” In addition to working with donors, another priority for Michael will be managing Vail Place’s donor database and ensuring the integrity of the important information it contains and captures.

Michael is excited about joining Vail Place, not only because it represents reaching a significant milestone in his career, but also because he feels strongly about causes surrounding mental health. “Like so many people, this issue of mental health has affected many of my friends and family members. I’m excited to be in a role that truly makes a difference and impacts the lives of people who use Vail Place services,” Michael says.

On a personal note, Michael is married and has two boys ages 1 and 3. On top of his busy career and family life, he enjoys writing creative fiction.
